From a photo of a Venetian flight of stairs Zanellato/Bortotto decided to reinterpret the iconic image of steps covered in water by the lagoon through the colors and materials of a rug: Giudecca. The different tones of grey of the wool create the stone steps, marked by salt and the effects of time.
