All Minima online sales are covered by the European Directive on Distance Selling (Directive 97/7/EC).
Our terms and conditions are made in accordance with this directive.
As a guide, all products are usually available within six to ten weeks. Some smaller products may be available quicker but this is not guaranteed. Other products may take longer. Minima will always advise customers as early as possible of the expected delivery date and will do our best to arrange a suitable delivery date and time. If the lead time is very important, please enquire about any specific products.
While Minima will always endeavour to deliver products within the quoted lead time, due to circumstances beyond our control, there may be delays. In these unusual events, Minima will do our best to keep our customers informed and satisfied. However, Minima cannot accept responsibility for delays beyond our control such as but not limited to manufacturing delays, transit delays or delays caused by adverse weather.
RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
All goods sold by Minima are either made-to-order or are ordered from the manufacturer specifically to fulfil clients’ orders. For this reason, once made orders cannot be changed or cancelled. This does not affect your statutory rights under Directive 97/7/EC.
Minima supplied products are not mass produced and are individually checked for manufacturing defects prior to despatch. Minima do not carry stock and exchanges are not possible for any reason except extremely rare manufacturing faults or transit damage. This does not affect your statutory rights under Directive 97/7/EC.
PRODUCT FINISHES & DIMENSIONS
Due to technical reasons, fabrics and other finishes delivered may appear slightly different in person than on screen. Also due to the natural materials used, there may be variations from one batch to another. This is a characteristic of natural materials and is neither fault nor grounds for exchange.
You should only order if you are sure that the item and finish is right for your needs as you will not be able to change the order. In certain circumstances Minima may supply small fabric samples by post to aid a decision. There will be a small charge for this but the charge will be credited against a subsequent order for that product. Please enquire if you require this service.
Before ordering larger items, ensure to check access to your property as delivery is on the basis that you have checked the dimensions of the item and that it fits through all doorways, stairwells, lifts and within the area of intended use. Minima accept no liability for large items not being able to fit within your property.
Minima have no liability for items ordered that a customer no longer requires or wants. Once an order has been processed the customer is liable to accept delivery.
Unless separately agreed, Minima will not hold orders in storage for extended periods prior to delivery. Goods may be held for short periods (less than one week) or be subject to a storage charge. If you are building/renovating a property and cannot accept delivery prior to a specific date, please contact Minima prior to ordering and we will be happy to assist.
Returns will only be accepted if the delivered product is not what was ordered (rare manufacturing mistake) or if it was damaged in transit. Please see above section regarding variations in product finishes or how products might appear slightly different on screen and in person.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY PRODUCTS
Do not accept delivery of any package which is obviously damaged. Alternatively, photograph the damaged packaging prior to opening and mark on the delivery docket that the packaging was damaged. Please inspect your purchases immediately. If there is damage you need to contact us within 24 hours of receipt, sending us some photos of the damage. Please note that no claim for replacement due to damage can be made after 24 hours.
In the rare event you discover a fault with a product, contact us immediately by telephone or email with a detailed description of the fault. Where appropriate, include photographs of the fault. Minima and/or our supplier will assess the fault and where appropriate will order you a replacement or repair at Minima’s or our supplier’s discretion.
Minima will endeavour to collect the damaged/faulty product as soon as possible but would appreciate some understanding with regard to third party couriers. In all cases the product(s) must be adequately packed to prevent further damage, preferably in the original packaging.
Minima’s products are priced in Euros and converted to GBP Sterling by the website. In the event that a refund is issued, it will be made for the Euro price of the item when it was paid for. For example, if you paid in GBP Sterling your refund will be in GBP Sterling for the same amount Minima received in Euros. This may result in a slight increase or decrease between the original price and the refunded amount. If you are concerned about this, please make purchases in Euros.
VAT & IMPORT DUTIES
Minima is responsible for paying all VAT on purchases to the relevant tax authorities. Additional import tax in relevant non-European states are the responsibility of the purchaser.
