Available finishes: Base in solid wood, clear varnish, black stained or powder-coated steel. Seat in rigid polyurethane foam, with optional removable polyurethane cushion covered in fabric or leather, or polyurethane upholstered seat covered in fabric or leather.
The seat appears to be suspended in the wood frame like a sedan chair, giving the design its name.
